Winter Greenhouse

Look how much you can grow during the winter in an unheated greenhouse! We eat fresh salads all winter long.

Baby Goats

Baby goats, a few days old from Rawson Brook Farm where they make goat cheese. We raise them for 10 weeks on milk and pasture, and end up with meat called capretto.

Soil Blocks + Seedlings

We use molded soil blocks instead of plastic containers. It's healthier for the seedlings and gets rid of the plastic aspect. We're getting ready for spring.

Race Brook Falls

The Appalachian Trail runs close by the farm. This waterfall is on the Race Brook Falls trail that comes off of the AT.

Oxen Hoof Trim

Pete's rear hooves had overgrown into Turkish shoes.

He's not playing. We found him dead by the sheep pasture. Poor Larry.

Lamb. He'll be slaughtered for meat eventually.

Goose Egg

Left -- 1 goose egg. Right -- 3 duck eggs.

Baby Highland Cleanup

Initially, the poo can clog up the baby so it needs to be cleaned off.

Odd Couple

Velvet is a very needy barn cat. Jasper is a stoic bulldog who desperately craves rubs from anyone but the cat.

She's massive. She barely fits in our stanchion. Hopefully giving birth will shrink her a bit.

Baby Highland (April)

April had a baby in the middle of a snowstorm last night. They had to be put in a stall.
